If you are experiencing tooth pain, there is something you should know: Tooth pain is never normal.
Thankfully Dr. Jon Jenson in Utah County can diagnose unexplained tooth pain. If your tooth is giving you pain, there are a number of reasons that could be behind the cause.
Unexplained tooth pain can be extremely frustrating–not to mention unpleasant. You want solutions and you want the pain to stop NOW.
Here’s what you should do if you are experiencing tooth pain;
- Call Dr. Jon Jenson and schedule an appointment. Cascade Endodontics can usually see patients with dental emergencies same day during business hours.
- Take an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. This is a helpful temporary way to stop pain, but it shouldn’t replace visiting a dental professional.
- Rinse your mouth with warm salt water every hour. This won’t stop any tooth infection, but it can help relieve swelling in your gums.
Unexplained tooth pain can be as simple as having food stuck between your teeth. But it can also be caused by an infection. If an infection is left untreated, it can cause serious damage–and you might even lose your tooth.
You do not have to live with tooth pain. Although people are fearful about root canals, our patients are pleasantly surprised when they find out that the root canal was not painful. In fact, the tooth pain that brought them into the office is usually far worse!
Contact Dr. Jon Jenson right away if you are experiencing tooth pain.
